The lifespan of a semi-automatic strapping machine is related to the working environment.

Semi-automatic strapping machines are not unfamiliar in China, and their designs are becoming increasingly diverse, with varying appearances. Especially for customers operating strapping machines in harsh environments, the lifespan of the machines is significantly reduced. Here’s an analysis of the impact of harsh environments on semi-automatic strapping machines:

  1. Severely humid environments. Many factories producing aquatic products have high humidity levels, sometimes with deep water on the ground. Using a regular semi-automatic strapping machine in such environments is clearly unsuitable. Firstly, the machine itself is easily damaged. Secondly, when the strapping tape retracts, it falls to the ground and gets wet, making subsequent operations very difficult.
  2. Highly corrosive environments. These environments are mainly characterized by strong acids or alkalis. Since carbon steel casings are not as corrosion-resistant as stainless steel, the casing is easily corroded in such environments.

If the working environment of the strapping machine cannot be objectively changed, it is recommended that customers pay attention to the corrosion resistance of the semi-automatic strapping machine’s casing, the material and thickness of the casing, when purchasing a machine. Additionally, it is recommended to clean the strapping machine before and after use and perform regular maintenance.
